Some weddings just feel effortlessly joyful from beginning to end, and Vicky and Jake’s beautiful summer wedding at Crug Glas was exactly that.
Blessed with glorious sunshine, they were able to make the most of everything this stunning Pembrokeshire wedding venue has to offer. The gardens were looking incredible and provided the perfect backdrop for one of the most personal parts of the day – an outdoor ceremony surrounded by their family and friends.
Before the ceremony, Vicky and Jake chose to do a first look. I absolutely love this part of a wedding day. It gave them a quiet moment together before everything began and meant they could spend even more of the day enjoying the company of their guests.
Before heading back to Crug Glas, we made the most of the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside with a trip to Darog Common for their couple portraits. The wide open landscape, rolling hills and golden sunshine created the most stunning setting. Of course, no countryside adventure would be complete without a quick stop to say hello to the cows Vicky cares for, which made for some wonderfully relaxed and memorable photographs.
Vicky looked absolutely stunning in her floral embroidered wedding gown. The delicate detailing was simply beautiful and suited the relaxed countryside setting perfectly.
Being a farmer, there was one very special guest that simply had to make an appearance – Jake’s vintage tractor. Proudly bringing it to Crug Glas, it took pride of place during the day and made for some fantastic photographs. It was such a lovely reflection of Jake and a reminder that the best weddings are always filled with personal touches that tell your story.
Following the outdoor ceremony, everyone gathered together to celebrate with drinks, laughter and some fantastic speeches. There was plenty of emotion, lots of laughter and a few stories that had everyone smiling.
Another very special member of the family also made an appearance. Their beautiful dog, Lola, joined them for a little walk and some playtime before the evening celebrations began. It’s always so lovely when couples are able to include their dogs in their wedding day, and Lola certainly enjoyed being part of the celebrations.
As the sun began to lower, the evening ended in the best possible way with an energetic céilídh. The dance floor quickly filled with family and friends, creating such a fun atmosphere and the perfect ending to an incredible day.
Vicky and Jake, thank you so much for asking me to capture your wedding. It was such a pleasure to be part of your day and I wish you both a lifetime filled with as much happiness, laughter and love as there was on your wedding day.
