As a wedding photographer, it’s always a joy to witness and capture the unique love stories of couples, but Rhiannon and Aled's wedding was something truly special. Held on a crisp, windy October day, their celebration was a beautiful blend of love, friendship, and the vibrant colours of autumn. The day began at the picturesque Tabernacle Chapel in Maenclochog, a stunning and intimate chapel that set the perfect tone for their heartfelt ceremony. The wind outside may have been fierce, but inside, the warmth between Rhiannon and Aled was unmistakable. Rhiannon made the most beautiful bride, her glowing skin and piercing blue eyes catching everyone’s attention as she walked down the aisle. She radiated happiness, and you could tell just by looking at Aled that, in his world, her happiness was all that mattered. Throughout the day, it was clear that Rhiannon and Aled weren’t just husband and wife; they were best friends. The way they looked at each other, smiled, and laughed together made it obvious that they had a bond built on years of shared experiences and genuine companionship. During the speeches, one sentiment stood out: “If Rhiannon’s happy, Aled’s happy,” a line that could not have been truer. Aled’s love for Rhiannon was so apparent in every glance, every touch. After their ceremony, we made a brief but memorable stop at the Preseli Mountains, a dramatic backdrop with winds that could make anyone lose their balance! But Rhiannon and Aled embraced it, laughing together as the wind tousled their hair and added a wild, romantic energy to their photos. These quick moments in nature captured their adventurous spirit and the beauty of their relationship. From there, we travelled to the charming Crug Glas, where their autumnal-themed reception awaited. The venue was filled with rich, warm colours, seasonal florals, and a cosy atmosphere that perfectly matched the couple's personalities. Their guests were treated to a day that was as heartwarming as it was beautiful, with everyone swept up in the love Rhiannon and Aled shared.
It was a true honour to photograph such a genuine and love-filled wedding, and I feel privileged to have been part of a day where the wind may have been strong, but the love between Rhiannon and Aled was even stronger.
Congratulations, Rhiannon and Aled! Here’s to many more windy adventures together!
